Charcuterie Platter Tutorial

How to Make the Best Charcuterie Sharing Platter

Start with a beautiful board—wood, marble, or whatever you have on hand. Then, grab two small bowls and place them somewhere on the board. These will hold your dips or spreads later.

Step 1: Add the cheeses
Pick a variety of cheeses, maybe something soft like brie and something hard like cheddar or gouda. Divide them up and place them around the platter in little sections. Think of it like setting the stage!

Step 2: Salami time
Now, grab your salami or any other cured meats you like. Fold the slices together to create little rolls or waves. It looks great and adds some height to your board. Try to make it flow through the cheeses, creating some movement.

Step 3: Fruits for freshness
Next, add whatever fresh fruits you have on hand—grapes, figs, apple slices, you name it! Tuck them in between the meats and cheeses for pops of color and flavor.

Step 4: Fill the bowls
Now, take those two bowls and fill them up. A fruity chutney or chili jam is perfect for dipping or spreading on crackers.

Step 5: Crackers and crunch
Now it's time for the crackers! Place them in little heaps or fan them out. It’s nice to have a couple of different kinds for variety.

Step 6: Finishing touches
For the final touches, add some olives, nuts, and maybe even a few sprigs of rosemary. This adds a little extra flavor and makes the board look beautiful and full.
